All our frames are manufactured using high impact, high performance PVCu. Fully sculptured, our Ideal 70 profile delivers exceptionally clean and slim sightlines and the flexibility and subtlety for use in retail, new build and specification sectors.
All frames are fusion welded and NOT screwed together, ensuring better cohesion and corrosion stability. The main profile depth of 70mm with integrated five chambers (front to back) is at the core of the system. All outer frame PVCu walls are approaching 4mm thickness and incorporate two chambers either side of the reinforcement chamber, preventing thermal bridging and providing superb thermal insulation.
PVCu profiles are available in Rosewood, White and Golden Oak as standard and can be produced to give a choice of internal and external finishes. Other colours are available to order, including White and Black finishes
Conforming to BS EN 12608:2003, the system ensures excellent energy efficiency, achieving an ‘A & B’ grade rating.
A low-line PCE Co-Extruded Gasket providing outstanding weather performance whilst complementing the elegant sightlines. Severe weather rating for windows and doors openings and glazing is achieved by double seal using TPE (Themoplastic Elastomer) gaskets, fusion welded at each corner to eliminate shrinkage, to BS 4255-1 and BPF 345/2.
All Formula One glazed units are Argon gas-filled and benefit from super spacer, warm edge technology.
Our standard double glazed units are ‘A’ rated and tested to BS EN1279-2& 3 / BS EN 12150. They offer a net energy gain of 2KWH/m2/per year to the household.
Our standard window and door glazing specification starts with affordable, efficient ‘A’ rated double-glazed units, whilst upgrade options offer the choice of higher energy efficiency and specialist glazing effects.
All Formula One windows offer “A” rated performance as standard. Upgrade options can increase this to ‘A+’ or ‘A++’. Building regulations currently stipulate a minimum requirement of “C” (or a U-Value of 1.6 w/m2K).
This indicates the amount of heat energy transmitted through a door or window, set out in watts per metre2 per degree Kelvin. The lower the U-Value, the less energy is lost, and the more efficient and economical the unit.
This represents the amount of solar energy that is gained through the window. The higher the value, the more energy gained and the greater the saving.
This is the amount of air that permeates through the window weather seals, also a contributing factor to the Rating Value above.

As a fully sculptured system, designed specifically for the UK and Ireland, Ideal 70 offers a great match to period properties in its own right. The aluplast Flush Sash builds on this foundation with additional period detailing including a deep bottom rail, dummy sash options and the option to replicate a 90o traditional mechanical joint.
